Recently, the Nanning Electronic Information Industry-Education Consortium, leveraging its platform and hub role, organized and coordinated member units including Guangxi Beibu Gulf Digital Technology Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Beibu Gulf Digital Technology"), Guilin University of Electronic Technology, Guangxi Transportation Vocational College, and Guangxi Dinghe Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dinghe Innovation") to establish a special task force and successfully convened a "Progressive Meeting on the Development of a New Generation Intelligent Card Issuing Robot." All parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the preliminary project plan and put forward several optimization suggestions. The convening of this meeting marks substantial progress made by the consortium in promoting the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, and accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Consortium resource integration, university-enterprise collaboration to tackle key technologies

This R&D conference leveraged the platform advantages of the Nanning Electronic Information Industry-Education Consortium, integrating the research capabilities of universities, the industry experience of enterprises, and mature technologies to build a complete innovation chain from technology R&D to product implementation.

Beitou Digital Technology, as the lead party, proposed an overall solution to improve the efficiency of non-ETC lanes, leveraging its extensive experience in intelligent highway equipment. Guilin University of Electronic Technology provided key technical support in machine vision, AI algorithms, and robotic arm control. Guangxi Transportation Vocational College focused on system control program design and traffic scenario adaptation.

Focusing on industry pain points, the intelligent card issuing robot solution is further optimized.

The "Intelligent Robot and Card Issuance System for Highways" project, a key focus of this conference, aims to overcome common industry challenges such as low efficiency and insufficient information collection in manual card issuance for non-ETC lanes. The project comprehensively utilizes cutting-edge technologies including AI visual recognition, multi-sensor fusion positioning, precise robotic arm control, and digital human interaction to achieve unmanned and intelligent card issuance and retrieval, significantly improving traffic efficiency and data collection capabilities.

The experts present discussed key technical indicators such as vehicle model recognition accuracy, robotic arm response time, and system environmental adaptability. They also proposed specific optimization solutions for hardware design, software architecture, and interaction processes based on the practical experience of multiple companies within the consortium, further enhancing the system's reliability, ease of use, and scalability.
