The Industry-University-Research Technology Research Institute is committed to deep integration and industrial application of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies, supporting the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of economic and social development in Guangxi and across China.
Guided by the vision “Digital Intelligence Innovation, Leading the Future”, the Institute focuses on cutting-edge technical fields including artificial intelligence, edge computing, intelligent sensing, and industrial IoT. It conducts key technological research, product development, and achievement commercialization for vertical industries such as smart grid, intelligent transportation, smart education, and intelligent manufacturing. Centered on solving industry pain points and accelerating technology deployment, the Institute aims to achieve more than 10 invention patents and 20 scalable intelligent products within three years.
Leveraging the strong industrial resources and market experience of its strategic partner, Dinghe Innovation, the Institute has established in-depth cooperation with doctoral supervisors, research teams, and scientific institutions from Sichuan University, South China University of Technology, Guangxi University, Guilin University of Electronic Technology, and other universities. Together, they conduct research on major scientific issues and tackle key technical projects.
The Institute has established multiple advanced R&D platforms, including an AI Laboratory, Smart Grid Laboratory, Intelligent Transportation Laboratory, and Smart Education Laboratory, forming a full-chain innovation system covering technology R&D, scenario verification, and industrial commercialization.
In terms of organizational structure, the Institute is led by a team of senior experts including President Lu Zhenkun and Executive President Zhou Hui. It has also set up an Expert Committee composed of top domestic and international scholars and industry professionals to ensure the forward-looking and practicality of its research directions. Adhering to the collaborative innovation model of government-industry-university-research integration, the Institute actively introduces social capital and diversified investment mechanisms to promote the efficient transformation and large-scale application of scientific and technological achievements.
